CONVENTIONS CREATE JOBS FOR SAN DIEGANS

Current event activity at the San Diego Convention Center supports 12,500 jobs countywide and an expansion would add another 6,885 new, permanent jobs for San Diegans.

Conventions create jobs for the entire San Diego region as activities associated with our business interacts with all sectors of the economy for goods and services to support events. Besides the hospitality industry, many jobs are in sectors as diverse as agriculture, durable goods and manufacturing.

An expansion would also provide hundreds of additional temporary construction jobs during construction.
